Ames Industries Inc., a leading family-owned custom injection molding company, has been delivering high-quality solutions since 1984. Located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, our state-of-the-art facilities are equipped with 37 advanced injection molding presses and staffed by a dedicated team of 50 skilled employees. We specialize in a comprehensive range of services, including prototype and production mold builds, high- and low-volume production molding, precision part inspection, laser engraving, ultrasonic welding, and complete assembly. Ames Industries was established in 1984 by Wesley Ames, a former toolmaker for AMP Inc., who initially began building molds and molding parts in the basement of his home. Originally serving as an extension of AMP, the company specialized in running prototypes and high-volume production molds. During the late 1990s and early 2000s, Ames Industries experienced significant growth, expanding its press base to 34 and evolving into a full-service injection molding facility. Today, the company boasts an in-house tool shop and a comprehensive quality inspection facility, offering end-to-end solutions for all injection molding needs.
In 2008, Ames Industries achieved ISO 9001 certification, marking a significant milestone as we expanded our reach into the Automotive, Medical, and Industrial markets. In 2017, we further grew our operations with the acquisition of a second plant, adding over 10,000 square feet of manufacturing and assembly space. The following year, we introduced our private label, THRiL brand, catering to the firearms market. In 2018, ownership transitioned from the founders to their daughters, Shelley and Suzy, who proudly continue to uphold the legacy of excellence that Ames Industries was built upon.
